A failure to build the new and genuinely affordable housing that the capital desperately needs has seen house prices increase and rent skyrocket. Meanwhile, those new homes that have been built have too often been the wrong type of housing- luxury flats in which no ordinary Londoner will ever be able to afford to live, marketed to foreign investors as a safe investment for their millions.

A Wolmar Mayoralty will focus on increasing the supply of affordable housing and bringing rents under control so that ordinary people aren't priced out of living in the city so many love to call home.
